Protevs: Floating solar that follows the sun

A design project developed with the University of Aveiro.

Solar power is more efficient than ever. However, it still requires large expanses of land.

Protevs is a modular solar system that follows the sun in declination and right ascension. It does this by being assembled as islands that rotate around a central axis while the panels oscillate vertically.

Notice on the right an indication of how a cell of solar Protevs modules can rotate around a central axis to follow the sun throughout the day.
